about me
I am a 49 year old mother of 5 amazing humans. I am wife, chef, health coach, runner, personal trainer, and about a million other titles. Health coaching women through their limitations is a fulfillment of one of my dreams. (I have many!)
I have been running marathons for the past two decades as a dedicated, totally amateur, middle-aged athlete. I have had some amazing successes and some very real failures both on and off the marathon course. (Yes, I have cried at the finish line, figuratively and literally--more than once!) I know what it means to want more and feel like I don't know how to get it in many areas of my life. I chased the Boston Marathon for 13 years and 15 marathons. (That means I ran about 7,500 miles, BEFORE I actually succeeded in running my first Boston Qualifier in 2013.) It seemed like no matter how meticulous my training was, or how good my nutrition was, I was still not connecting with that goal. I finally understood what was missing and it wasn't diet or training. It was BELIEVING!! What I continue to learn from running is that I can put all of the external pieces in place--the workouts and nutrition--but I have to elevate my thinking-- and pull it up out of my limiting beliefs -- to set myself free to capture my dreams. This is true for marathoning and for life.
As I have aged, I have noticed myself edging away from many of my peers, in terms of health. More and more, I have encountered women that seem to have given up on their dreams for better health. I understand the principles of change and, what I like to call, "whole person wellness" and this is something I want to share with other women. I know how aging can make you think you're running out of time to cash in on those wishes that you've been carrying around in your heart. I'm here to tell you that it's not too late for you! It's never too late to be the best version of yourself! I am here to show you how.
This is your time, my friend.
